Vehicle Trouble Quick Guide
Choose the symptom, make sure you are safe, then contact the shop.
If you feel unsafe, do not continue driving. Turn on the hazard lights and stop in a safe place.
Engine will not start
- Confirm the selector is in P and the parking brake is applied.
- Press the brake and check the key or start button.
- Do not keep trying to start it. Contact the shop.
Warning light is on
- For a red warning light, stop safely and turn off the engine.
- Photograph the warning light and full instrument panel.
- Do not continue driving without instructions. Contact the shop.
Flat or deflated tyre
- Do not keep driving. Stop in a safe place.
- Photograph the tyre, whole vehicle, and location.
- Do not repair or replace it yourself. Contact the shop or Road Assistance.
Battery or electrical problem
- Turn off the lights and interior lamps.
- Do not connect another vehicle without shop instructions.
- Send the vehicle number and location to the shop.
Strange noise, smell, or smoke
- Stop safely and turn off the engine immediately.
- If there is smoke or fire, move away from the vehicle.
- Do not restart. Contact the shop and emergency services if needed.
Overheating or high temperature
- Stop safely and turn off the engine.
- Do not open the radiator cap while hot.
- Wait for it to cool and contact the shop.
Key lost or locked inside
- Do not force the door or window.
- Confirm your location and vehicle number.
- Contact the shop and wait for instructions.
